More leaves danced as they appeared from the tip of her wand. In a loud, slightly demanding tone, Raven casted the spell one last final time. I tried.

Shocked was an understatement. A rather large bouquet of red, star-shaped flowers fell to the ground as Raven looked as if she had just seen someone get struck by the Killing Curse out of no where. She couldn't move nor could she had ever seen that happen. There was no way that could happen, there's...there's just no way. I hate flowers; flowers take too much time and die quickly. There's just no way.

Not accepting her success at all, Raven picked up the bouquet of red, Texas Star flowers, and walked over to Douglas. "Ma'am, this has to be some sort of mistake," she said as she showed Douglas the bouquet, "I hate flowers; there's just no way I can preform the Orchideous Charm. This has to be a mistake."



<<OOC- I was really hoping that she didn't get it; I wanted her to fail at at least one of these extra credit charms, that would have made for a better story line...Oh well, thank you anyway god of the dice roll!!! You truly do make Raven, a lazy genius.>>

Kerry was really speechless. Raven seemed to have a total "Screw Magic" feeling about her, like doing it bored her. And then she turned around and flung the lock open with a huge amount of energy, then did the lighting and flowers charm like it wasn't much of an issue at at.

Damn, man. Kerry couldn't help keep the excitement off his face. "I want to get that good," he told her. "You make it look easy, Raven." Without thinking about it he reached out and touched her arm, giving it a quick squeeze. "Now let me see if I can swing this--"

Kerry didn't even think about what he was going to do. He'd watched Raven's moves and was certain he had them down. He held his wand just so and uttered, "Lumos".

Right away the tip of Kerry's wand flared brightly and stated that way. Kerry let out a whoop then shook his wand to douse the light. He gave Raven a smile nearly as bright as his wand had been. "You're giving me luck," he told her excitedly then tried the charm again.

Again the wand flared, but, if possible, it was even a little brighter this time. "All right!" This was the class Kerry didn't think he was going to do that well in, but right now he was feeling very good indeed. This is so cool! he thought.

He was in a full-on geekgasm now. "Okay, lets go for 3," he said to Raven, and gave the wand a little flick. "Lumos."

Kerry walked in a slow circle around the door. Oh, man, this is so cool! he thought. Just the other day he wondered if he could really, actually do magic. Today--yeah, he could do it.

And it was a wonderful feeling.

Now, what was next? Flowers from the wand? He didn't really understand why someone would want to do that, but then--it was probably better than going down and buying them, he figured.

He checked out the wand movement and set himself to produce a bouquet. "Here we go," he mumbled. "Orchideous!"

And just like that a full bouquet of red roses popped out of the end of his wand. Kerry nearly dropped the wand out of excitement, and couldn't help the little squeal he emitted.

He pulled them from the wand and put them aside. The first ones to go Annie, he thought. Let me get another for Raven . . . Setting his wand, he cast the charm again. "Orchideous!"

Oooooh! The flowers are so lovely and bright... and the fragrance is incredible. Annie is gonna be so jealous!!!

Kerry couldn't believe his luck; he'd totally rocked 5 extra credit charms in a row, and these yellow roses-- Oh, man, they look incredible! He pulled them from his wand and handed them to Raven. "Yellow Roses for Texas," he said, not even trying to hide his excitement.

One more to go. He really, really wanted to go 6 for 6. Only one way to find out--

He took a deep breath and then--"Orchideous!"

When another bouquet of red roses popped out of his wand--these even better than the last--Kerry felt that something was working for him in this class. "Well, Annie gets 2 dozen roses," he said, chuckling. Sure, he'd had trouble unlocked the door, but it seemed that he picked up everything else quickly.

"You gave me good luck," he told Raven. "Whatever you have must have rubbed off on me. Thanks!"

Picked up his roses, Kerry walked up to Professor Douglas and informed her proudly, "Done, Professor." He didn't know how he could feel better than right now, but, looking over towards Annie, he could imagine a few things . . ..
