What does it make you think of?

I'll post the first word (or short phrase) and the next poster will say what it makes him think of. Then the poster after the next poster will say what the word (or short phrase) the previous poster said makes him think of. You can include an explanation with WHY it made you think whatever it is you thought--but that's not necessary to play. This will continue indefinitely until we all perish...

The first thing that comes into my head when I hear WAND, at least when I was younger, was a flashlight. My Lolo, my grandpa on my dad's side, would go around saying that that was his magic wand and it would make the darkness disappear.
